Geely vision for social welfare is to “Let the world feel love” with a focus on education and environmental protection. Our social welfare projects cover three areas of public interest – culture, poverty alleviation, and support for the underprivileged. Our targeted social welfare projects follow four core principles in order to solve societal issues, discovering the root of the problem, achieving community integration, promoting the in-depth participation of stakeholders, and developing a sustainable social welfare model.
Geely’s “Timely Rain” Targeted Poverty Alleviation Project
Committed to making the world a better place, Geely started a new targeted poverty alleviation project in China. Through Geely’s “Timely Rain” targeted poverty alleviation project, the group plans invest up to 700 million RMB to help impoverished regions lift themselves out of poverty. The project help impoverished regions by industrializing them, improving education, creating employment opportunities, and assisting rural regions to develop sustainable agricultural cooperative enterprises.
The project has already help establish 25 agricultural cooperatives, helping more than 13,000 families in 9 provinces and 17 districts lift themselves out of poverty. Total investment to date has reached 400 million RMB.

Han Hong Love Charity Foundation
100 People Assistance Charity Activity Series
Since 2013, Geely Auto has been a partner of Han Hong’s Love Charity Foundation, helping the foundation for six consecutive years in their charity activities in the impoverished Western regions of China.
In the past 6 years, Geely Auto has donated 165 Geely SUVs to the Han Hong Love Charity Foundation enabling them to provide aid in the rough terrain of Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, and Shaanxi.
Geely Auto has accompanied Han Hong and her 100-person aid team through nearly 500,000 km and over 70 cities and counties in six Western provinces and autonomous regions, an equivalent of circumnavigating the earth two times.
Magic Taxi Tour
London EV Company “Magic Taxi Tour”
London EV Company (LEVC) “Magic Taxi Tour” charity event takes place each year when a convoy of licensed London taxis take sick children, suffering from a range of chronic debilitating illnesses and life limiting conditions, on a three-day trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Resort Paris.
Since 1994, the charity has taken over 5,000 children on this magical journey. As the parent company of LEVC, Geely Holding Group has been involved in supporting the “Magical Taxi Tour” since 2016.
In June 2018, in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the “Magical Taxi Tour,” Geely Holding Group announced it will continue to support the charity event for the next five years from 2019 to 2023, allow even more ailing children to go on a fairytale like journey to the magical kingdom of their dreams.

Children’s Road Safety Campaign
“OMTANKE” in Swedish means being “caring” and “considerate” as well as to “think things twice.” “OMTANKE” is not only the name of Volvo’s sustainable development plan, it also represents their care for child safety.
Since signing on to the UN’s “Decade of Action for Road Safety” in 2014, Volvo Cars launched a special “Children’s Road Safety Campaign” to raise awareness on road safety, teach people the correct way for children to ride in cars, and promote child safety legislation.
