Value Chain Responsibility

Geely has always upheld an open and shared mindset, striving to build industrial chain alliances and an ecosystem of partners.

Sustainable Supply Chain

Supplier management

In 2023, we updated the Geely Supplier Code of Conduct, incorporating detailed requirements for workplace environment and human rights, freedom of association and collective bargaining, conflict minerals, business ethics, communication and training, and a whistleblowing mechanism. We require all suppliers to comply with and sign this updated Code.

To promote the coordinated development of supply chains across the Group and its business units, we have established the Supply Chain Collaboration Committee at the group level. This committee, supported by its executive bodies, is responsible for advancing strategic initiatives and enforcing management directives. Through quarterly meetings, we enhance collaboration in supply chain management and resource sharing across all business units.

  • Supplier Identification and Admission
    • Implement sustainable management requirements based on our sustainable management system, prioritizing suppliers certified under ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and IATF 16949;
    • Encourage suppliers to sign the Geely Supplier Code of Conduct and provide necessary guidance and training;
  • Project Specific Reviews
    • Utilize the Drive Sustainability SAQ Questionnaire to identify potential risks in the supplier’s working conditions, business ethics, and responsible procurement. Suppliers are categorized into high, medium, and low risk groups, with high-risk suppliers required to undertake timely corrective actions;
    • Conduct due diligence on basic suppliers to assess risks associated with national/regional political, economic, trade, and legal factors;
    • Conduct compliance audit and public opinion review on suppliers.
  • Routine Review during the Project Development Stage
    • Following supplier reviews, Supplier Performance Evaluation Notification Letters are issued. Based on these evaluations, appropriate reward and penalty measures are applied.
  • Improvement and Disqualification
    • Initiate corrective tasks for non-compliant suppliers and monitor the improvement process until it is completed;
    • Terminate relationships with suppliers who fail to meet standard after rectification in accordance with performance evaluation management measures.

Critical raw material management

Using the independently developed GeeTrace blockchain-based traceability platform, we assign unique identifiers to each final product and critical component along the supply chain. This enables us to track and record the full lifecycle data of products and materials across raw materials supply, product manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, traders, after-sales services, and recycling. Following successful implementation in brands like Volvo and Polestar, GeeTrace was deployed to the supply chains of Geely Auto and Lotus Tech in 2023, enabling comprehensive lifecycle traceability covering from the finished vehicle products back to the raw material miner.

Responsible Marketing

Geely Holding’s business units advocate the principle of responsible marketing by evaluating and training dealerships. This initiative aims to ensure that dealership channel partners deliver accurate, consistent, professional, and responsible marketing services to customers.

Creating Diverse Value for Users

Building a dynamic user ecosystem

We are committed to co-creating and sharing with our users by establishing vibrant user communities through exclusive apps, dedicated user groups, forums, service centers, as well as offline co-creation and communication events. This strategy strengthens our connections with users and keeps us informed about their experiences and co-creation trends.

Exploring automotive financial services

Geely Holding is actively expanding its financial services across the entire automotive industry’s value chain. By leveraging our financing capabilities, we provide lifecycle financial services to automotive consumption, aiming to create an open and interconnected financial ecosystem. Simultaneously, we are pioneering green finance initiatives and developing inclusive financial products to extend the benefits of automotive consumption to a broader audience and foster a supportive financing environment centered around the automotive industry.

Promoting the prosperity of automotive culture

The automotive culture industry represents a new frontier in our quest to build a highquality mobility service ecosystem. We are diversifying our development models and enhancing our racecar sports talent training systems to support the growth of automotive sports events. We are also expanding into new business areas such as racetrack business innovations, business travel development, and healthcare, which injects vitality into the automotive post-cultural market and strengthens the soft power of the automotive industry.

Sharing Development Visions with Partners

Geely Holding champions mutual support and interaction within and beyond the industry, valuing a wide range of communication opportunities and acting as a bridge for dialogue and cooperation across diverse sectors. We not only maintain friendly collaborations with upstream and downstream industry partners but also continually expand our cooperation boundaries. Together with both domestic and international peers, we explore and drive advancements in a mobility ecosystem characterized by sustainability, intelligent technology, new energy solutions, and innovative materials.
