In 1997, Geely Holding entered the automotive industry and has since focused our core business on the development and production of automobiles. Geely has continued to grow with a focus on continuous technological innovation, talent development, and strengthening core competitiveness, all the while staying committed to sustainable development.

Since 2012, Geely Holding has ranked among the Fortune Global 500 for thirteen consecutive years (ranked 185th in 2024) with more than 140,000 global employees. Geely Holding also ranked 10th in global auto sales.

Geely Holding is committed to becoming a leader in green and smart mobility, engaged in automotive, upstream and downstream industrial chains, intelligent travel services, green transportation capacity, digital technology, etc.

Headquartered in Hangzhou, Geely Holding today owns and manages a number of brands: Geely Auto, Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co, ZEEKR, Volvo Cars, Polestar, Lotus,  Farizon, and Cao Cao Mobility, and other brands are around the brand positioning and actively participate in market competition.

With the electrification and intelligent transformation of the automotive industry as the core, Geely Holding has also been developing cutting-edge technologies in new energy, shared mobility, vehicle networks, autonomous driving, on-board chips, low-orbit satellites, and laser communication, building a science and technology moat and strengthen the science and technology ecosystem.

Geely Holding has established R&D and design centres globally in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Gothenburg, Coventry, California, Frankfurt, etc., with more than 30,000 R&D and design personnel and more than 14,000 innovation patents. Geely Holding operates world-class vehicle and powertrain manufacturing plants in China, U.S., U.K., Sweden, Belgium, and Malaysia, meanwhile owning a worldwide sales and service network comprised of more than 4,000 branches.

Geely Holding places great importance on fulfilling our social responsibility. The Group actively supports education, combining practical hands-on training, classroom education, and research. Through training engineers and technicians, and establishing several private higher education institutions, Geely has cultivated nearly 200,000 talents. In 2016, Geely launched its “Timely Rain” targeted poverty alleviation campaign which has seen Geely invest 700 million RMB in poverty alleviation, contributing to China’s battle against poverty. Through the four main actions of high-quality development of enterprises, sharing of development results, coordinated development of industrial chain and coordinated regional development, Geely has comprehensively launched the action plan for promoting common prosperity in high-quality development.
