2025 November 18th, Curitiba, Brazil – Renault Group, Geely Holding Group and Geely Automobile Holdings establish Renault Geely do Brasil to take a leadership position on a dynamic Brazilian market.  Today Renault Geely do Brasil announced the R$ 3.8 billion investment is aimed at:

  • Production of Geely’s new zero and low emissions technology (GEA) platform that will be the basis for two new models to be manufactured in the second half of 2026
  • Facelift of a Renault model that will be launched in the second half of 2026
  • Production of a new zero emission technology platform that will be the basis for a new Renault model to be launched in 2027

The announcement was made during a ceremony held at the Ayrton Senna Complex, in São José dos Pinhais, state of Paraná, and was attended by Mr. Geraldo Alckmin, Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior, Paraná State Governor, Fabrice Cambolive, Renault Group’s Chief Growth Officer and Renault brand’s CEO, Victor Yang, Senior Vice President of Geely Holding Group and Senior Vice President of  Geely Auto Group, and Ariel Montenegro, President and Managing Director, Renault Geely do Brasil. The R$ 3.8 billion investment package is aimed at:

  • Production of Geely’s new zero and low emissions technology (GEA) platform that will be the basis for two new models to be manufactured in the second half of 2026;
  • Renovation of a Renault model that will be launched in the second half of 2026;
  • Production of a new zero emission technology platform that will be the basis for a new Renault model to be launched in 2027.

Previously, Renault Group and Geely have established multiple global cooperation projects including joint investment into Renault Korea and the creation of Horse Powertrain, a global provider, leader in innovative hybrid and combustion powertrain solutions.

This announcement is made after the completion of a partnership between Geely Holding Group and Geely Automobile Holdings [1] (together referred to as “Geely”), which have signed agreements under which Geely took a 26.4% stake in Renault do Brasil.

By combining their industrial, technological, and commercial strengths, the two groups will accelerate the development of both the Renault and Geely brands in Brazil and position themselves at the forefront of the industry’s transition toward zero and low-emission mobility at the highest technological standards and become one of the leaders in Brazil market .
