2025 July 17th Hangzhou, China – In the recent announcements on the results of the 2025 Euro NCAP safety tests, the latest models from Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) portfolio brands, Polestar, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co have all achieved the maximum 5-star safety ratings. All three models, namely the Lynk & Co 02, Zeekr 7X and Polestar 4 participating in the 2025 round of tests share a common heritage of being based on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).
With the conclusion of the latest rounds of tests, the Lynk & Co 02 has been awarded the highest Euro NCAP safety score in the global compact SUV segment in based on the current evaluation cycle. In addition to becoming the safest vehicle in its class tested by Euro NCAP in 2025, the all-electric 02 was recognized for its outstanding performance across all testing categories including Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assist. The model set a new safety benchmark after achieving the highest ever score for Safety Assistance at 89 points. In Europe, the 02 joins its sibling the 01 plug-in hybrid, both carrying full 5-star ratings.
The Zeekr 7X, the brand’s first mid-sized electric SUV to be offered in the European market achieved 90 points for Child Occupant Protection – one of the highest scores among all participants tested this year – and the third-highest score for Adult Occupant Protection of 91 points. Every Zeekr model offered in Europe now has achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, following the awards made to the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X in 2024.
The Polestar 4 achieved an overall score of 86 points and was praised by the Euro NCAP testing agency for becoming top scorer for adult occupant protection at 92 points in the current round of testing protocols. With the brand’s latest five star safety rating, the full Polestar lineup has now been awarded top ratings by the independent body.
In the past year, Geely has also seen its portfolio brands Volvo and Geely Auto achieve five star safety ratings with their latest models including the SEA based Volvo EX30 and Geely Intelligent Electric Architecture (GEA) based EX5. Geely Holding has always placed safety as its highest priority and the high ratings achieved by the Groups portfolio brands reflect their commitment to safety.
