2025 April 14th, Hangzhou, China – Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) announced today that aggregate sales in the first quarter of 2025 across its portfolio automotive brands reached 946,627 vehicles, a 31% YoY increase. New energy electrified vehicle sales reached 463,372 units, a YoY increase of 83% accounted for 49% of the Group sales. The Group also saw its sales exceed 900,000 units for two consecutive quarters, demonstrating the strong competitiveness of its brands and products. In March 2025, electrified vehicle sales reached a new high accounting for 52% of the Group aggregate sales.
Unit Sales Details
Geely Auto, the Hong Kong-listed holding company (HK.0175) that includes Lynk & Co and Zeekr, reported first quarter sales of 703,824 units, an approximately 48% YoY increase. The company’s mainstream brand, Geely Auto saw sales reach 589,813 units, a 55% YoY increase. Lynk & Co, the company’s premium brand sold 72,608 units, a 19% YoY increase. The company’s high-end premium electric mobility technology brand, Zeekr sold 41,403 units, a YoY increase of 25%. In terms of product highlights, Geely Auto’s Geome Star Wish electric urban SUV saw record high sales in March of 32,490 units, Lynk & Co’s flagship six seat mid-sized SUV, the Lynk & Co 900 officially began taking pre-sales orders, and Zeekr’s new global flagship model, the Zeekr 9X was officially unveiled.
The global expansion of Geely Auto, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr continued to accelerate in 2025. Sales outside of China for the company reached 89,953 units. The Geely Auto EX5 was successively launched in Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Latin America. The first batch of the global electric model was delivered to customers in Thailand. Zeekr officially entered the Egypt market with the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X. Lynk & Co expanded into emerging markets of Laos and the Dominican Republic as well as launched its latest Lynk & Co 08 EM-P model in Europe.
Volvo Cars sold 172,219 vehicles globally in its first quarter with electrified vehicles reaching 74,483 units and accounting for 43% of its total. Polestar global sales reached 12,204 vehicles in the same period, an approximately 76% YoY increase. Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicles sold 26,710 electrified commercial vehicles worldwide, a 62% YoY increase.
