 2024 September 20th, Taizhou, China – In the spiritual ‘birthplace’ of Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) and Geely Auto, Geely Chairman and founder Eric Li (Li Shufu) positioned a new strategic direction for the Group.

Geely Holding has previously announced Strategic Declarations, notably the 2007 Ningbo Declaration that transitioned Geely from being a low scale vehicle manufacturer producing entry level vehicles into a global conglomerate with operations on every continent.

In the latest declaration, Eric Li outlines five strategic points to ensure the continued long-term strategic development of Geely and achievement of the Group’s corporate mission to create “A Sustainable Future, A Better World”

Geely will remain focused on the automotive industry as the industry transforms towards electrification, vehicle autonomy and intelligence, connectivity, and shared mobility. The Group will continue to build on its strong foundations and core competitiveness in combustion engine vehicles while advancing its leading position in green low-carbon transportation technologies with multiple technological pathways including BEVs, methanol-hydrogen, and range extenders.

The Group will promote greater integration and super synergies among its expanding global portfolio of businesses to improve efficiencies and achieve mid- and long-term sustainable development. Through leveraging synergies in the Group’s science and technology ecology, Geely aims to empower its portfolio businesses with the systematic advantages of a global conglomerate.
