In its transformation to becoming a sustainable mobility technology enterprise and to meet new global consumer demand for premium electric vehicles, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group announces a significant leadership change in Geely Auto Group and the new premium electric car company, Zeekr.

Effective March 23rd, 2021, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group has appointed Mr. An Conghui as Chairman of Geely Auto Group and CEO of Zeekr. Mr. An has moved from his current position as President and CEO of Geely Auto Group. Taking over for Mr. An Conghui as CEO of Geely Auto Group will be Mr. Gan Jiayue, previously Senior Vice President of Geely Auto Group and General Manager of Geely’s purchasing company.

The restructured executive management allows Geely Auto Group to build upon its synergetic strengths while effectively positioning Zeekr to capture new business opportunities from the transformation of the automotive industry.

For the past 10 years, the outstanding performance from Geely Auto Group’s management team and all its employees has been led by Mr. An Conghui. Geely Auto Group has seen systematic improvements in design, R&D, manufacturing, quality, marketing, and service helping it become the world’s top Chinese automaker in terms of passenger vehicle sales for four consecutive years. Making progress in its global expansion, the Group has promoted the integrated development of Geely and Volvo, established European R&D centres, and created the Lynk & Co brand utilizing the CMA architecture which has become a model for high-end global brand development by Chinese automakers. Becoming Chairman of Geely Auto Group, Mr. An Conghui will focus on big picture cross-group synergies while as the new CEO of Zeekr, he brings a long track record of success and his veteran automotive industry experience into the new premium electric car brand.

Mr. Gan Jiayue joined Geely straight after graduating from university in 2003 and has served within a multitude of different roles within Geely Holding and Geely Auto Group which has allowed him to gain strong experience within the organization. He has served as a core member within key business committees in the Geely Auto Group including the product strategy committee, procurement committee, and quality committee. A leader in reform in his nearly two decades in Geely, Mr. Gan Jiayue has been instrumental in making major business reforms, organizational transformation, logistical improvements, etc. His most recent posting has been as Senior Vice President of Geely Auto Group and General Manager of the Geely’s purchasing company responsible for providing collaborative joint procurement between Geely’s numerous subsidiary brands. As Geely Auto Group expands globally, Gan Jiayue brings invaluable experience in building cross-brand synergies and supporting integration as the new CEO.
