Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Poverty-Relief Project Lifts Villages Out of Poverty

8 August 2017, Zhangjiakou, China. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group targeted poverty-relief program “Geely Timely Rain” is helping lift a deeply disadvantaged village out of poverty in Huainan County, Zhangjiakou City. Geely Holding Group has invested more than 800,000 RMB in a fund that will help one village consisting of 173 people in 114 households develop into a cooperative enterprise which will lift the village out of poverty in two to three years.
In 2016, Geely Holding Group invested a total of 28 million RMB to help 274 students and provide poverty alleviation services to 500 people in nearby villages. At the same time, Geely Holding Group also invested 400,000 RMB to successfully develop and organize disadvantaged villages into specialized agricultural cooperative enterprises lifting them out of poverty.
