2021 January 20, Hangzhou. Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group (GCV) and UTI Israel (UTI) announced that the two parties have agreed to form a strategic partnership to introduce GCV’s subsidiary brand Farizon Auto pure electric E200 8T light truck to the Israeli market and cooperate on adaptive R&D for electric commercial vehicle products.
GCV will take lead on completing related R&D and EU certification of Farizon Auto commercial vehicle products whilst UTI will handle sales in target markets.
UTI Israel is a leading Israeli integrated automotive company offering sales and after-sales service for trucks and buses. It is the leader for commercial vehicle sales in Israel with a market share of 45%. UTI partnership with GCV provides strong support for Geely expansion in the Israeli market.
GCV is a direct subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and utilizes the Group’s strengths in automotive technology R&D, design, supply chain management, and market leadership to develop sustainable green commercial vehicle products. Currently, Israel’s logistics and transportation sector is dominated by traditional gasoline and diesel power, leaving new energy an untapped market. As a market-proven electric light truck, the Farizon E200 8T light truck is the prefect product to help Israel start its journey in establishing a green logistics ecosystem.
The E200 light truck was launched by Farizon Auto in 2017. Powered by a large-capacity lithium-iron-phosphate battery, the vehicle has a maximum range of more than 200km with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of up to 8000KG and takes less than an hour to charge to 80%. The E200 has an effective load volume of 21.9m³ meeting the diverse needs of many users. The range and load capacity of the E200 makes it perfect for urban logistics and inter-city transport.
